Used Car Sales Manager – Automotive

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to take full responsibility for the performance, standards and profitability of the used-vehicle operation within a franchised retail environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-growth settings and enjoys building structure, accountability and results within a developing brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of used car sales performance, volume, margin and stock turn

  • Management, coaching and development of the used car sales team

  • Control and optimisation of used vehicle stock sourcing, pricing and preparation

  • Ensuring FCA compliance and best-practice processes across all customer journeys

  • Working closely with Dealer Principal / senior management to align used and new car strategy

  • Leveraging digital retailing tools, online platforms and lead management systems

  • Driving a high-quality customer experience with strong CSI and repeat business

  • Analysing performance data and implementing improvement plans where required

About You
  • Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Manager or Senior Transaction Manager

  • Strong background in franchised automotive retail

  • Commercially minded with excellent margin control and stock management skills

  • Confident leader who can motivate teams and lead from the front

  • Comfortable in fast-changing environments with evolving processes

  • High personal standards, attention to detail, and strong compliance awareness

  • Full UK driving licence
