Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Camping and Caravanning Manager to lead our outdoor accommodation services. This role involves overseeing the day\-to\-day operations of the camping and caravanning facilities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing a team to deliver outstanding hospitality. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hospitality expertise, and a passion for creating memorable outdoor stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management and supervision of camping and caravanning areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.


• Support and oversee the process of reservations, check\-ins, and check\-outs efficiently while providing friendly, professional guest service.


• Oversee maintenance and safety inspections of all outdoor facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Managing and supporting seasonal and site staff where required.


• Develop promotional strategies to attract new guests while maintaining excellent relationships with returning visitors.


• Lead the sales and marketing strategy for the camping and caravanning area by approaching clubs to promote site and generate new business.


• Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure all guests have a positive experience during their stay.


• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events or special activities that enhance the outdoor experience.


• Monitoring occupancy and working with the wider team to maximize bookings and revenue.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and comfortable taking responsibility of our Camping and Caravanning facilities.

Ideally, you will have:

• Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Camping and Caravanning.


• Previous experience within a campsite, caravan park, holiday park, hospitality, leisure or visitor\-attraction environment.


• Be passionate about developing this part of the business and have a can do attitude when looking at ways to promote our site and sell this area of the business.


• Experience supervising or managing staff.


• Excellent customer\-service and communication skills.


• A practical, hands\-on approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of running the site.


• Have experience in arranging outdoor events and leading events such as meets/rallies.


• Good organisational and problem\-solving skills.


• Confidence dealing with customers and resolving issues professionally.


• An understanding of health \& safety and the importance of maintaining high site standards.


• Basic IT and booking\-system skills.


• A full UK driving licence.

This is not a conventional Monday\-to\-Friday management position. Camping and caravanning is a seven\-day operation, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible around weekends, bank holidays, events and peak holiday periods.

In return, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of an important part of the visitor experience at Statfold Country Park and play a significant role in developing our camping and caravanning offer.

We are looking for someone who will treat the site as their own: welcoming guests, maintaining excellent standards and continually looking for ways to make their stay better.
