Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented CAD Engineer to work with our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawings and schematics for staircases and other structural drawings .

We are looking for someone to work with us on a part time/freelance basis, and will be paid job by job on a rate agreed by both parties.

Duties

  • Develop and refine detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.

  • Produce accurate schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans aligned with project specifications.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility.

  • Review and interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Assist in the integration of CAD models into project workflows for construction planning and site management.

  • Maintain organised digital files of all drawings and schematics in accordance with company standards.

  • Provide technical support during project implementation phases by updating drawings as required.

Requirements
  • Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.

  • Strong understanding of schematics development within construction or civil engineering contexts.

  • Familiarity with CAD standards and best practices for technical drawing production.

  • Knowledge of construction processes and terminology to facilitate effective communication across project teams.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high\-quality work.

  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, architecture or related fields are preferred but not essential. Pay: £15\.63\-£39\.81 per hour
