Cabinet Maker

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, constructing, and installing custom cabinetry and furniture pieces. This role requires a strong foundation in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet client specifications. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialised craft skills within a professional environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate bespoke cabinetry and furniture components according to detailed drawings and specifications


• Assemble parts using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure precise fit and finish


• Operate a variety of woodworking machinery safely and effectively, including saws, drills, and sanders


• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials with attention to detail


• Install finished products on\-site, ensuring proper fitting and alignment


• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to uphold safety standards


• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure designs meet expectations


• Assist with other construction\-related tasks such as roofing, plumbing, or masonry as required

Skills

• Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry


• Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, planes, hammers, and screwdrivers


• Skilled in operating power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and routers


• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques for durable construction


• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately


• Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling of materials


• Experience with construction painting or finishing is advantageous


• Additional skills in roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work are considered a plus but are not essential


• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on precision and quality workmanship

Pay: £140\.00\-£180\.00 per day
