Location: London (Hybrid)

Reports to: Head of Buying

We are looking for a Buying \& Merchandising Assistant to join our Product team and support the end to end buying and merchandising process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, analytical, commercially aware, and looking to build a long term career within Buying, Merchandising, or Product Development.

What you'll be doing

You will play a key role in supporting product development, merchandising, supplier management, and product administration across the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and managing purchase orders for samples, tooling, and selected stock orders

  • Creating and maintaining accurate product data including pricing, MOQs, lead times, dimensions, and supplier information

  • Supporting supplier communication and assisting with commercial negotiations where required

  • Managing vendor onboarding and ensuring all supplier documentation is completed accurately

  • Supporting product launches through the creation of training materials, product release packs, and go to market documentation

  • Maintaining product range plans and ensuring system information remains accurate and up to date

  • Producing reports, analysis, and insights to support decision making within the Product team

  • Building strong working relationships across departments and becoming a trusted point of contact for product related queries

  • Developing expertise across systems including Acumatica, Power BI, EazyStock, and other business tools

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and AI driven efficiencies within the function.

What we're looking for

We're less interested in finding someone who ticks every box and more interested in finding someone who is curious, eager to learn, and enjoys solving problems.

You'll likely have:

  • Previous experience within a Buying, Merchandising, Product Administration, Supply Chain, or similar commercial support role

  • Strong Excel and data handling skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Strong numeracy and analytical thinking

  • A commercial mindset and genuine interest in products

  • The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks

  • Confidence building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • An interest in technology, automation, and AI tools that can improve the way teams work
Experience reading technical drawings would be beneficial but is not essential.
