Join our dynamic procurement team as a Buyer and play a pivotal role in sourcing and purchasing goods that drive our business forward. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure the seamless flow of materials through our supply chain. As a Buyer, you will leverage your expertise in ERP systems and merchandising to optimize procurement processes, enhance supplier relationships, and contribute to our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring timely procurement of quality goods and services.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, and AS400 to manage purchase orders, track inventory levels, and analyze supply data.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Coordinate logistics activities related to inbound shipments, customs clearance, and delivery schedules to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and optimize stock availability.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to identify areas for improvement or alternative sourcing options.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records and documentation for audit compliance and process improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist within a fast\-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, or AS400 is essential.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
- Familiarity with merchandising practices and inventory planning processes.
- Excellent communication skills combined with analytical thinking to resolve procurement challenges effectively.
- Experience working with logistics providers and managing cross\-functional collaboration is highly desirable.
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
