Seasonal Butcher – Turkey Processing
Location: Buttercross Butchers, Market Drayton
Contract: Seasonal (with potential for permanent full\-time employment)Hours: 30 \- 45 hours per week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are looking for an experienced and skilled butcher to join our team for a busy seasonal production period.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing high\-quality turkey steaks for our turkey roulade production. Accuracy, consistency, and efficiency are essential, as the role involves cutting approximately 2,500 turkey steaks per day to a high standard.
You will work closely with our Butchery Manager and alongside two part\-time butchers as part of a supportive and experienced team.
Responsibilities
\- Accurately cut turkey steaks to specification for turkey roulade production.
\- Maintain consistent product quality and presentation standards.
\- Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets.
\- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health \& safety procedures.
\- Assist with general butchery and production tasks as required.
\- Work collaboratively with the wider butchery team.
About You
\- Previous butchery experience is essential.
\- Strong knife skills and the ability to work accurately at pace.
\- Experience with poultry processing would be advantageous.
\- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
\- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
