Function

As a Logistics Business Unit Manager, you will take the lead of a key business unit and ensure its end\-to\-end performance.

Your mission: to transform objectives into concrete results, manage committed teams and guarantee fluid, safe and efficient operations on the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment \& People axes.

In close collaboration with the support functions, you will ensure exemplary storage and shipping flows, at the best cost, in compliance with standards, food safety and impeccable customer service.

A key role for a results\-oriented manager, capable of combining operational excellence, human leadership and safety culture.

Your main responsibilities

Operational management \& performance

  • Break down strategic objectives into action plans and manage KPIs (safety, quality, costs, productivity, stock accuracy, Repack).

  • Plan the activity in the short, medium and long term with the Operations Managers.

  • Optimize resource allocation and coordinate teams on a daily basis.

  • Supervise activity reports, procedures and operational standards.

  • Define the maintenance plan with the Maintenance Manager and propose organizational improvements and tools.
Financial management \& continuous improvement
  • Develop and monitor the budget and the Total Production Cost with management control.

  • Optimize the use of resources and equipment.

  • Deploy continuous improvement approaches and propose optimizations/automations (Capex, IT).

  • Track production and repack costs by Business Unit.
Stocks \& Traceability
  • Guarantee inbound and outbound traceability.

  • Maximize inventory rotation (blocked, dormant, aging) and manage the associated actions.
Management \& leadership
  • Manager, coach and develop teams.

  • Define objectives, ensure communication and manage training plans with HR.

  • Recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating employees.

  • Manage absences, absenteeism and disciplinary situations with the HR department.
Industrial relations, safety \& change
  • Maintain a constructive dialogue with the social partners.

  • Be a positive agent of change.

  • Guarantee the safety of people and operations (prevention, risk analyses, training, BOS).

Profile

For this role, you are open to travel to our two locations (Leuze\-en\-Hainaut \& Waregem).

Education \& experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in administration, logistics or technical field.

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in warehouse management or complex logistics environment.

  • Experience in automated warehouse highly appreciated; knowledge of Cold Store is a plus.

  • Experience in the food industry is not essential.
Skills \& Tools
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes and incoming/outgoing flows.

  • Good knowledge of ERPs, ideally SAP and EWMS.

  • Familiarity with transport and export procedures.

  • Ability to identify and implement performance improvements (costs, investments, efficiency).
Leadership \& posture
  • Field manager, close to the teams and present on operations.

  • Comfortable managing, in collaboration with 3 logistics managers, a department with 150 to 200 employees.

  • Leadership based on trust, expertise and structured control.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Stress\-resistant and solution\-oriented.
