About the Role
We are looking for an organised and customer\-focused Business Support Officerto join our team and help deliver high\-quality administrative support across a range of front\-line and statutory services.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll be a key point of contact for customers and colleagues, ensuring that enquiries, referrals, and processes are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with relevant legislation and council procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide flexible administrative support across the wider team, adapting to changing priorities and service needs
- Coordinate diaries, arrange meetings and ensure everything runs smoothly, including preparing papers and following up on actions
- Organise and support meetings, taking clear and accurate notes and helping track progress
- Work collaboratively across the wider CIA team, stepping in to support different areas as required
- Assist with a range of projects, providing administrative input and helping to keep work on track and well organised
- Maintain accurate records and support day\-to\-day processes to ensure services run efficiently
- Act as a reliable point of contact for colleagues and partners, supporting effective communication across the team
- Contribute to improving ways of working by supporting administrative systems and processes
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, resilient, and committed to delivering excellent customer service in a busy environment.
You’ll bring:
- Experience working in a business support or administrative role
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads
- Experience working with financial information and processes
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and data systems
- Emotional resilience when dealing with complex or sensitive situations
