We are currently looking to recruit a Business Support Assistant to work within our Fleet \& Workshop team based at our site at Hellaby, Rotherham. This facility provides vehicles across the broad spectrum of Council departments that support front line services in our community. Fleet \& Workshop services operate an internal hire desk providing short and long\-term vehicle hire, a driver training and compliance team, a busy in\-house vehicle maintenance workshop and an MOT lane.
You will be required to provide administrative support and assist with the day\-to\-day operation within a busy department. Key duties will include:
- Maintaining accurate vehicle records
- Input accurate data onto the fleet management system
- Liaising with internal customers and external suppliers
- Support the Transport Managers in maintaining compliance records
- Assist with the processing of insurance claims and penalty notices
- Invoice processing and raising purchase orders
- Administration related experience in a similar environment
- Competent in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Customer focused with excellent customer service skills
- Be organised with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast\-paced environment
- Conscientious with a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
- Have an understanding and knowledge of different vehicle types and specifications
- Understanding of health and safety in the workplace
- Be a team player with the ability to also work under own initiative
