Business Support Analyst (Stock \& Materials)

Hako Machines are looking for a proactive and detail\-driven Business Support Analyst to join our Aftersales team in Crick. This is a varied and fast\-paced role where you will play a key part in supporting stock, materials, supplier and operational performance across the business.
This role would suit someone who enjoys analysing information, investigating issues, working with systems and improving processes.
You will work closely with departments across the business including Customer Service, Finance, Technical, Supply Chain and Stores, helping to ensure the smooth flow of parts, materials and operational data.
We are looking for someone who is naturally organised, commercially aware and confident working with reports, systems and data. Most importantly, we want someone who takes ownership, solves problems and gets things done.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running and analysing reports using Excel, SAP and internal systems
- Investigating stock, supplier, pricing and materials discrepancies
- Identifying trends, issues or errors within operational data
- Supporting stock and materials planning activities
- Monitoring supplier orders, deliveries and back orders
- Producing daily and weekly operational reports
- Working closely with internal departments to resolve issues quickly
- Supporting customs, imports and shipment administration
- Maintaining accurate records, material data and system information
- Helping improve processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Escalating risks or issues which may impact customer service or SLA performance
We are looking for someone who:
- Loves working with numbers, data and problem solving
- Has strong attention to detail and enjoys identifying issues within reports or systems
- Is proactive and able to investigate and resolve problems independently
- Can confidently run, process and interpret reports using Excel
- Has strong administrative and organisational skills
- Is commercially aware and able to “sense check” information
- Communicates confidently with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders
- Enjoys working in a fast\-paced operational environment
- Takes ownership and makes things happen
- Previous experience in an analytical, stock, materials, inventory or business support role
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP
- Strong Excel skills including reporting and data analysis
- Ability to analyse information and identify inconsistencies or trends
- Experience working with technical products, engineering parts or operational data would be highly beneficial
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
