Reporting to the Finance and Commercial Director, this is a new role which will be responsible for leading and developing a finance team, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting while partnering with operational leaders to provide strategic insight.

This is a key leadership role where you will influence business performance, support commercial decision\-making, and help shape the financial future of the organisation.

The Role

• Own end\-to\-end operational finance delivery, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial processes


• Support monthly management accounts, including P\&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting


• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles


• Oversee fixed asset management, including capitalisation, depreciation, and SAP administration


• Manage transactional finance operations (AP, AR, payroll) and ensure robust month\-end close discipline


• Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and risk management, including VAT and audit support


• Improve financial reporting, systems, and process efficiency through continuous enhancement


• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision\-making and business performance


• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, driving accountability, capability, and scalability


• Partner with operational leaders to challenge assumptions, improve margins, and support profitability

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA / CIMA)


• Proven experience in a senior finance role with ownership of month\-end and management accounts


• Strong technical accounting knowledge across P\&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and fixed assets


• Demonstrated experience managing transactional finance (AP, AR, payroll) and improving processes


• Track record of strengthening financial controls, compliance, and audit delivery


• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in a commercial environment


• Strong systems experience (e.g. SAP or similar ERP) with a focus on process improvement and automation


• Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor a finance team


• Commercially minded business partner with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insight


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
