About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive Business Development \& Estimating Officer to support the growth of our business through new and existing client opportunities.

Initially offered as a 12 month contract with the potential to become full time permanent for the right candidate. This is a hands\-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, preparing tenders and helping win new contracts. There is clear scope for progression for the right person as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development \& Prospecting

  • Identify and develop new opportunities with existing clients and new prospects

  • Research opportunities via:

  • Public procurement and tender platforms

  • Frameworks and buying portals

  • Client and organisation websites

  • Site visits \& discussions

  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities
Tenders, Bids \& Proposals
  • Prepare and submit:

  • Quotes

  • Tenders

  • Bids and contract proposals

  • Assist with pricing, scope development and supporting documentation

  • Ensure submissions are compliant, accurate and submitted on time

  • Manage clarifications, deadlines and outcomes
Client Engagement
  • Liaise with prospective and existing clients via email, phone and meetings

  • Support meetings (online and in person where required)

  • Understand client requirements and help shape service solutions

  • Assist with handover of secured contracts to delivery team
Systems \& Administration
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, bids and outcomes

  • Update CRM systems and tender trackers

  • Support reporting on pipeline activity and success rates
About You

Essential

  • Experience in business development, bidding, tendering, estimating or sales support

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple submissions

  • Confident using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Desirable
  • Experience with public\-sector tenders or procurement platforms

  • Background in facilities management, construction, maintenance or service contracts

  • CRM experience

  • Understanding of pricing and contract structures
