Business Development Manager

We do this by providing comprehensive solutions and IT consultancy to help them maximise their investment and achieve their business objectives.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking two experienced and results\-driven Business Development Managers to lead market expansion and revenue generation for the United Kingdom.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, building a strong sales pipeline, and converting qualified opportunities into long\-term customer relationships. Working closely with marketing, pre\-sales, and delivery teams, this role plays a critical part in positioning Platned as a trusted enterprise solutions partner.
This position is ideal for a proactive sales professional with experience in B2B enterprise software, ERP solutions, or IT services, who is motivated by targets, relationship building, and strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline (direct clients and partners).
- Lead presales activities, including: discovery sessions, solution positioning, product demonstrations (demos).
- Understand client needs and translate them into tailored solution proposals.
- Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to shape the best solution approach.
- Present Business Central capabilities to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Drive end\-to\-end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Develop relationships with partners and contribute to ecosystem growth.
- Support go\-to\-market strategy and offering development.
- 3\+ years of experience in a business development of enterprise.
- Demonstrable success in new business development \- finding, qualifying, and closing deals independently.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Comfortable engaging at multiple levels \- business users, finance directors, operations leads, and C\-suite.
- Ability to confidently conduct product demos and client presentations.
- Understanding of business processes (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain).
- Strong structured discovery skills \- you ask the right questions and listen before you pitch.
- Ability to build clear, business\-outcome\-focused proposals and presentations.
- Storytelling ability \- turning product capabilities into concrete business value.
- Experience working alongside delivery, consulting, or technical teams in a system integrator or consulting firm.
- Experience in ERPs such as SAGE, Acumatica and Epicor will be an added advantage.
