As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with established relationships and a strong reputation within the health and social care sector.

This is an opportunity for a commercially focused individual to play a key role in expanding our presence, developing referral pathways and establishing long\-term strategic partnerships.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating sustainable growth through the development of referral networks, healthcare partnerships and community relationships across East London, South East London and Kent.

The successful candidate will have existing contacts within health and social care and understand how to navigate both public and private markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth

  • Develop and implement a regional business development strategy.

  • Generate new care enquiries and referral opportunities.

  • Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients and referral partners.

  • Identify opportunities for growth within private pay, NHS and local authority markets.

  • Represent the organisation at networking events, conferences and community forums.
Healthcare \& Community Partnerships
  • Develop relationships with:

  • Hospital discharge teams

  • Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)

  • GP practices

  • Community nursing teams

  • Social workers

  • Care coordinators

  • Continuing Healthcare teams

  • Voluntary sector organisations

  • Housing associations

  • Local community groups

  • Establish referral pathways and partnership agreements.

  • Promote the organisation's services to healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
Market Development
  • Maintain awareness of local health and social care developments.

  • Identify commissioning opportunities and market trends.

  • Conduct competitor analysis and recommend growth initiatives.

  • Support the launch of new services and service expansion opportunities.
Relationship Management
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation.

  • Maintain regular contact with referral partners and key stakeholders.

  • Develop strategic relationships that generate sustainable business growth.

  • Ensure excellent customer experience from initial enquiry through to service commencement.
Reporting \& Performance
  • Maintain accurate CRM records.

  • Track referral sources and conversion rates.

  • Produce regular business development reports.

  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure service capacity aligns with growth plans.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' business development experience within Health \& Social Care.

  • Proven experience in generating referrals and business growth.

  • Strong knowledge of domiciliary care, community healthcare or adult social care.

  • Existing professional network across East London, South East London and/or Kent.

  • Experience working with NHS and community\-based stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.
Desirable Experience
  • Existing relationships within:

  • NHS Trusts

  • ICBs

  • Hospital discharge services

  • GP networks

  • Social care teams

  • Private healthcare providers

  • Experience within domiciliary care or home care services.

  • Understanding of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.

  • Experience working with private\-pay client acquisition.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Success Measures

Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Establish a strong referral network across East London, South East London and Kent.

  • Deliver agreed enquiry and conversion targets.

  • Support the sustainable growth of the organisation across the region.
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
