Due to continued growth, we are looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of the business.
The Role
This is a varied position combining customer support, supplier management, product administration and business development.
You will work closely with the Directors to improve sales performance, strengthen relationships with Porsche specialists and help expand our product offering.
No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will become an important part of the continued growth of the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support
- Handle telephone and email enquiries from retail and trade customers.
- Deal with product enquiries and customer issues.
- Escalate technical queries where required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Contact Porsche specialists throughout the UK to promote trade accounts.
- Build and maintain long\-term customer relationships.
- Visit Porsche workshops and independent specialists to generate new business.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve customer retention.
- Analyse turnover, margins and product performance.
- Produce management information and sales reports.
- Work with Directors to develop sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Place stock orders with UK and overseas suppliers.
- Maintain supplier relationships and contact information.
- Research new products and suppliers.
- Assist with special offers and promotional products.
- Maintain trade pricing structures.
- Create and maintain website listings.
- Implement price changes and product updates.
- Ensure product information remains accurate and current.
- Work alongside the Marketing Manager to produce content.
- Assist with promotions and campaigns.
- Help support continued growth of the Spyder Performance brand.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness.
- Good IT skills and confidence using Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Experience in business development, account management or sales.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Ecommerce experience.
- Supplier management experience.
- Porsche knowledge.
- Experience producing reports and analysing data.
