An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Business Development Manager working at our Leeds office as part of our Trade Team.

We are looking for a driven BDM to grow our DUSK Trade’s presence across our core sectors. This role offers the opportunity to help shape our new trade platform from the ground up!

DUSK Trade is the trade\-focused arm of DUSK, built to serve interior designers, property developers, housebuilders, build\-to\-rent operators, landlords, and hospitality businesses with furniture solutions at scale. We're in the growth phase, and this role will be central to building out our trade client base and pipeline.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with interior designers, developers, housebuilders, BTR operators, landlords, and hospitality businesses

  • Manage a personal pipeline from first contact through to closed deal

  • Develop and pitch bespoke furniture packages and trade offers tailored to client needs

  • Represent DUSK Trade at industry events, showrooms, and client meetings

  • Negotiate pricing, volume deals, and partnership terms

  • Work closely with the Director to refine trade marketing materials, messaging, and target sector strategy

  • Maintain accurate records of deal stages, forecasts, and invoicing status

  • Meet and exceed quarterly new business targets

  • This role may involve occasional travel and nights away, in line with business needs.
About You
  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally within furniture, interiors, construction, or property sectors

  • Strong relationship\-building skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders (developers, designers, procurement leads)

  • Comfortable managing a full sales pipeline independently, from lead generation to close

  • Commercially sharp — able to structure and negotiate deals that work for both client and business

  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities and gaps within the existing proposition.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Self\-starter mentality, comfortable working within a growing, evolving platform

  • Familiarity with CRM/pipeline tools (e.g. Excel\-based trackers, Salesforce, HubSpot)

  • Existing network within property development, BTR, hospitality, or interior design

  • Experience with trade loyalty or incentive schemes (e.g. voucher or rebate programmes)
