This isn't a job for everyone.
We're not looking for tidy pipeline managers who need hand holding. We want a genuine hunter. Someone who picks up the phone before their coffee's hot, doesn't need a script to open a conversation, and gets a kick out of turning a cold contact into a signed contract.
NCM Auctions is in a serious growth phase. We turn over around £10m and we've set our sights on £50m within three years. The people who join us now will be part of that story and rewarded accordingly.
What We Do
NCM is a B2B commercial asset disposal and auction busi\`ness. When a business needs to move surplus equipment, machinery, vehicles, stock, or an entire site.. they come to us. We handle everything: valuation, marketing, auction, collection, proceeds.
Our clients range from FTSE\-listed manufacturers to local authorities. They don't just use us once, they make us part of their asset strategy. Your job is to find the next generation of those clients.
The Role
You'll hunt out and own your pipeline. Prospecting, pitching, and closing exclusive auction contracts. This is a new business role. You'll carry a target and you'll be expected to hit it.
You won't be doing it alone. You'll have a marketing team generating inbound leads, a strong ops team delivering on every contract, and a leadership team who know how to help you succeed.
What You'll Be Doing:
Hunting
- Identify and prospect commercial businesses with surplus or end\-of\-life assets
- Cold call, follow up relentlessly, and convert prospects into clients
- Attend site visits and client meetings across the UK
- Present NCM's proposition to decision makers at board and senior management level
- Deliver compelling auction proposals within 48 hours of agreement
- Negotiate and close exclusive auction agreements
- Turn one off auctions into repeat relationships
- Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in HubSpot
- Weekly performance reporting to the leadership team
- Flag dormant deals early, don't carry dead weight
Must\-have: Proven B2B new business sales track record. You've smashed targets, not just met them. You're comfortable on the phone and in a room. You know how to handle objections without folding, and you know when to walk away.
Ideal background: We're not overly precious on where you've sold before \- Commercial property, asset finance, plant \& machinery, logistics, waste management, fleet, or any high\-ticket B2B environment where you've been selling to FDs, Operations Directors or CEOs would be a distinct advantage but if you have the drive, and resilience we can teach you the industry.
Tech: We run on HubSpot. If that's new to you, no problem, if you're allergic to CRMs entirely, we're probably not the right fit.
