Internal Business Development Manager

Location: Office\-based (internal role) Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 basic, £55,000 OTE Type: Full\-time, Permanent

About the Role

We're recruiting on behalf of a well\-established and highly regarded kitchen design and installation company, known for delivering beautiful, high\-quality bespoke kitchens to homeowners. As they continue to grow, they're looking for an ambitious Internal Business Development Manager to lead and drive their telesales function, managing a team of six telesales agents while continuing to build strong, lasting relationships from within the office.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive, target\-driven sales leader who thrives on coaching a team, generating opportunities, and converting conversations into new business — without the need for extensive field travel.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing, coaching, and motivating a team of six telesales agents to hit individual and team targets

  • Setting team KPIs, monitoring performance, and running regular one\-to\-ones and call reviews to drive continuous improvement

  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training/development of telesales team members

  • Proactively identifying and generating new business opportunities through outbound calls, email, and other channels, leading by example

  • Building and overseeing a strong team\-wide pipeline of prospective customers and partners

  • Qualifying inbound enquiries and ensuring the team converts them into appointments or sales opportunities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts to maximise repeat and referral business

  • Working closely with the sales and design teams to ensure a seamless handover of qualified opportunities

  • Achieving and exceeding monthly and quarterly new business targets, both personally and as a team

  • Keeping accurate, up\-to\-date records of team activity and pipeline in the CRM, and reporting performance to senior management

  • Staying informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities
What We're Looking For
  • Proven track record in business development, new business sales, or telesales, with prior experience managing or leading a team

  • Confident, persuasive communicator with strong relationship\-building and coaching skills

  • Highly self\-motivated with a genuine drive to generate, convert, and lead a team to new business

  • Well organised, with strong pipeline, performance management, and time management skills

  • Comfortable working towards and exceeding KPIs and targets, both individually and as a team

  • Experience within kitchens, interiors, home improvement, or a similar considered\-purchase sector is an advantage but not essential

  • Confident using CRM systems to manage and report on individual and team activity
What's On Offer
  • Basic salary of £40,000 \- £45,000, with realistic OTE of £55,000

  • The opportunity to lead and shape a team of six telesales agents

  • Office\-based role with full support from an established, growing team

  • Full product and sales training provided

  • Genuine opportunity to grow within a well\-regarded, expanding business
