Business Development Manager (BDM)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results\-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. This is a hybrid Business Development and Contract Management role, combining new business generation with the growth and retention of an existing client portfolio within the FM, estates management, and commercial property sectors. The BDM will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and establishing long\-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and win new business opportunities in Grounds Maintenance and FM services
- Managing and developing a portfolio of existing client contracts
- Leading and managing tenders (PQQ, ITT), frameworks, and procurement portals
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award
- Build relationships with clients, procurement teams, and decision\-makers
- Identifying opportunities for additional works, service enhancements, and new site expansion
- Preparing and submitting commercial proposals, quotations, and bid documents
- Ensuring high standards of contract delivery, customer satisfaction, and service quality
- Supporting clients with ongoing requirements and proactive solutions
- Maintaining a strong pipeline and converting opportunities into revenue growth
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and networking events
Skills \& Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, or Contracts Manager within FM, Grounds Maintenance, or similar sectors
- Strong experience with tenders, bids, frameworks, and procurement processes
- Experience managing client accounts and developing long\-term relationships
- Track record of growing revenue through both new business and existing clients
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Self\-motivated with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals
- Full UK driving licence
- Team player with a great sense of humour

Pay: £45,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
