The Opportunity
As a Business Development Executive, you will drive growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, onboarding new customer accounts, and supporting their transition into active trading. This role combines commercial acumen with technical understanding to support customers in a fast\-paced, rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
\-Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and lead management.
\-Onboard new customer accounts, ensuring a smooth transition into trading with Segen.
\-Manage and grow assigned accounts, driving revenue, margin, and order volume.
\-Work to achieve revenue and margin driven KPI’s.
\-Build strong, multi\-level relationships with customers, promoting loyalty and continuity.
\-Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure administrative precision.
\-Collaborate cross\-functionally and share market insights to support business improvement.
\-Stay up to date with industry trends, regional schemes, and new product offerings.
\-Deliver customer portal training and promote Segen's Training \& Events.
\-Represent Segen at industry events and our own showcases.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
Relevant B2B sales experience (solar industry preferred)
Full UK driving licence
Technical Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Behavioural Competencies:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship\-building skills
Organised with strong time management and attention to detail
Adaptable, collaborative, and customer\-focused
Problem solver with a commercial mindset
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
