Who We Are

UCS Assist is the international medical assistance and repatriation division of UCS Care Group Ltd.

We support insurers, assistance companies, healthcare providers, case managers, private clients and partner organisations with clinically led medical escort, repatriation coordination, ground ambulance transport and wider assistance services.

Our proposition is built around clinical governance, responsive communication, patient safety, operational reliability and clear case management. As the service develops, UCS Assist aims to become a trusted partner for insurance and medical assistance organisations requiring dependable repatriation and medical transport support.

Role Purpose

The Freelance Business Development Consultant will lead on identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities for UCS Assist within the insurance, travel assistance, medical assistance and healthcare partnership sectors.

This is an entrepreneurial, success\-led role suited to someone who understands the market, has relevant contacts or strong business development capability, and is interested in being part of the early growth journey of UCS Assist.

The role is not intended to be a conventional salaried business development position at this stage. Instead, it is designed for someone who wants to help build a specialist service and be rewarded directly for the value they create.

For the right person, there may be a pathway to a more formal long\-term position, including a retained consultancy arrangement, senior commercial leadership role or potential stake in the business, subject to performance, contribution and mutually agreed terms.

The consultant will establish and develop relationships with key decision\-makers, including:

  • Assistance directors

  • Claims managers

  • Medical directors

  • Operations leads

  • Procurement contacts

  • Partnership managers

  • Network managers

The consultant will support UCS Assist in refining and communicating its commercial proposition, including:

  • How UCS Assist presents itself to insurers and assistance companies

  • Key differentiators around clinical governance, responsiveness and operational reliability

  • Target client segments

  • Service packaging

  • Partnership models

  • Pricing and commercial feedback

  • Competitor and market insight

  • Meetings held
