Role: Technician – Building Services
Hours\-36\.25 hours per week
Salary Scale \- £25,260 \- £25,896 FTE
Pension Contribution\- 15% (FTE)
Location – Trafford \-Stretford Campus, Talbot Road, Stretford, M32 0XH (although requirements across the Group may require cover at other sites)
The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) is seeking an experienced Building Services Technician contributing to our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.
The Role:
As technician in Building Services, you will be responsible for providing high quality support, primarily in plumbing and electrical installation workshops to enable the Group to meet the standards required in practical classes. This will involve ensuring stock levels or tools and equipment are maintained, auditing the storeroom and facilitating the delivery of workshops supporting teaching members of staff. Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance.
About you :
If you are passionate about your specialist subject and sharing your knowledge, skills and experience and have an enthusiasm for supporting apprentices then there has never been a better time to join The Group.
To be successful at application stage it would be advantageous if you have a level 2 or 3 qualification in either plumbing or electrical installation, or have equivalent experience working in the industry. You should be qualified to level 2 and ideally have literacy \& numeracy at level 2\. Additionally, it would be desirable to hold a relevant and current First Aid qualification and be Fire Marshall trained or be willing to undertake the training.
