Hours: 44 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern covering days and nights
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a Building Services Engineer to complete planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across the Westfield contract, while supporting other engineers with client\-driven tasks and jobs.
The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to maintain service continuity.
Shift Pattern:
- 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
- 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, 2 nights off, 2 nights on, 3 nights off
We are looking for someone with strong electrical or mechanical building services experience, capable of managing their own workload, responding effectively to reactive issues, and maintaining high standards of compliance, documentation, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PPM and reactive maintenance across the Westfield contract.
- Carry out scheduled PPM tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, pumps, and control systems.
- Diagnose faults and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Inspect, test, and maintain electrical assets such as wiring, lighting, and distribution boards.
- Service and maintain mechanical systems including boilers, chillers, air\-handling units, and associated infrastructure.
- Complete maintenance, repair, and compliance records accurately, including job reports and recommendations.
- Liaise with the management team to ensure service levels are met or exceeded.
- Manage own time effectively, prioritising tasks and responding appropriately to urgent requests.
- Previous experience working across multiple sites within the FM environment.
- Proven experience completing both PPM and reactive building services maintenance.
- Experience working independently or within a small team.
- Strong fault\-finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing experience.
- Electrical bias preferred: 18th Edition, NVQ or C\&G Electrical Installations.
- Mechanical qualifications also considered: NVQ or C\&G Mechanical Engineering, C\&G Heating \& Ventilation.
