Bookkeeper
Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail\-focused Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid bookkeeping experience who wants to work across a varied portfolio of clients and build their skills in a flexible, forward\-thinking firm.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping across a portfolio of clients, keeping their records up to date and laying a solid foundation for monthly and year\-end accounts. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll work closely with clients and colleagues to keep workflows running smoothly, flagging anything unusual so it can be reviewed.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and review purchase and sales invoices, ensuring documents are fully captured and correctly coded
- Complete regular bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies promptly
- Maintain fixed asset registers, recording additions, disposals and depreciation in line with accounting standards
- Prepare and post journals in line with accounting standards and internal processes
- Support month\-end reconciliations to keep financial records complete and up to date
- Prepare and process client payroll on schedule, meeting all deadlines, filings and compliance obligations
- Manage client correspondence promptly and proactively raise queries to keep workflows on track
- Identify and flag unusual or irregular transactions to the Client Manager for review
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, embracing technology and smarter ways of working
- 2\-3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experienced with accounting software such as Xero or similar
- A solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, bank reconciliations and journals
- Payroll experience (advantagous)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A natural communicator with a client\-focused approach
- An interest in technology and innovation — you enjoy finding better ways to do things

Pay: £25,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
