Blind and Curtain Installation Engineer
Ace Contracts specialise in the supply, manufacture and installation of bespoke (manual and electric) blinds and curtains. We started life as a small family business over 25 years ago. About the Role
As part of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing a range of curtains, blinds, tracks and associated systems to a high standard.
This is a practical, hands\-on role that requires good attention to detail, problem\-solving skills and pride in the quality of your work. You'll work on a variety of projects and no two days are exactly the same.
Typical duties will include:
- Installing curtains, blinds, tracks and shading systems
- Measuring, marking out and accurately positioning products
- Drilling and fixing into a variety of surfaces
- Working from drawings, specifications and installation information
- Troubleshooting and resolving installation issues on site
- Working safely and following site\-specific RAMS and procedures
- Liaising professionally with project managers, site teams and clients
- Taking care of tools, equipment and company vehicles
- Travelling to sites throughout London and the surrounding areas, with occasional UK and overseas travel
Previous curtain or blind installation experience would be ideal, but it is not essential as full training will be provided.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in practical trades where accuracy, fixing and finishing skills are important.
You may currently be working as a:
- Carpenter or joiner
- Kitchen fitter
- Electrician
- Shopfitter
- Multi\-trade operative
- Skilled installer/fitter
