Bid Manager

Job Summary

Angloco is looking for an ambitious, highly organised and commercially aware Bid Manager to lead the development of compelling, compliant tender submissions for our industry\-leading firefighting vehicles and equipment. Based in Batley, West Yorkshire, this role offers autonomy, variety and the opportunity to coordinate bids across Sales, Finance, Directors and other internal stakeholders. The position is central to identifying suitable opportunities, managing submissions from initial qualification through to outcome review, and continuously improving Angloco’s bid processes and win rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end\-to\-end tender and PQQ process, from identifying opportunities through to submission and follow\-up.


• Review tender requirements and coordinate input from Sales, Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Finance.


• Write, edit and produce high\-quality, persuasive and compliant tender responses.


• Translate technical information into clear, customer\-focused content.


• Coordinate bid plans, deadlines, responsibilities and review meetings to ensure submissions are delivered on time.


• Support bid strategy, pricing, commercial proposals and risk evaluation with relevant stakeholders.


• Monitor public\-sector tender portals and identify suitable opportunities.


• Maintain tender templates, standard responses, case studies and supporting information.


• Track tender activity, outcomes and win/loss feedback to support continuous improvement.


• Maintain accurate tender records within the CRM and provide updates to the Head of Sales.

Essential

• Experience in bid management, tendering or proposal writing.


• Experience with public\-sector tenders.


• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.


• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines.


• Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management skills.


• Good Microsoft Office skills.

• Experience within manufacturing, automotive, defence, emergency services or specialist vehicles.


• Knowledge of international tendering.

Highly organised, commercially aware and detail focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
