Are you passionate about data and using insight to help an organisation make better decisions? As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you\`ll play a key role in developing and maintaining data and analytics solutions that support decision\-making across GreenSquareAccord.
Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham / Hybrid
Salary: £33,400 \- £41,800 per annum
Working within our Digital Services Analytics team, you\`ll combine data from multiple sources to deliver trusted, accurate and accessible management information for colleagues across the organisation, from operational teams through to Executive and Board level.
You\`ll work across the Microsoft data platform, developing data pipelines, data warehouse solutions, semantic models and Power BI reporting. You\`ll also help expand our self\-service analytics capability, enabling colleagues to confidently access and use trusted data.
You\`ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and provide guidance on reporting, analytics and data best practice. You\`ll also identify opportunities to automate, improve and innovate our use of data.
About you
We\`re looking for an experienced BI professional who combines strong technical skills with excellent stakeholder engagement. You\`ll have practical experience delivering business intelligence and data solutions in a corporate environment, alongside strong SQL skills.
You\`ll ideally have experience in:
- Developing Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards and reports, alongside KPI frameworks.
- Building ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and SQL Server, plus experience of data warehouses and dimensional modelling.
- Gathering requirements and translating complex business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Applying data quality, governance, testing and documentation standards to ensure reporting is accurate and reliable.
- Supporting self\-service analytics through trusted datasets, training and knowledge transfer.
- Analysing data from multiple sources and communicating technical concepts and insights clearly to both technical and non\-technical audiences.
