BER Consultant \& Product Development Specialist

Location: Cashel, Tipperary

Hybrid / Remote (Ireland)

About BERGO

BERGO is developing a next\-generation digital platform designed to transform how Building Energy Rating (BER) assessments are carried out in Ireland. Our mission is to digitise the assessment process, eliminate paperwork, improve accuracy, and help assessors complete more assessments efficiently.

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced energy professional to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of energy assessment technology.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a BER Assessor to combine their technical expertise with innovation and product development.

The successful candidate will work closely with the BERGO team to support the development, testing, and improvement of our digital assessment platform. The role will involve practical field\-based assessment activities, software testing, quality assurance, process development, and users as BERGO continues to grow.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future direction of a rapidly growing Irish technology company operating within the energy efficiency sector.

Key Responsibilities

\- Conduct residential energy assessments and building surveys where required.

\- Test and validate BERGO software features and workflows.

\- Provide practical feedback to the development team based on real\-world assessment experience.

\- Assist in developing digital assessment methodologies and best\-practice procedures.

\- Support the creation of training materials, user guides, and technical documentation.

\- Participate in pilot projects and software demonstrations.

\- Assist with quality assurance and data validation activities.

\- Support customer onboarding and user feedback collection.

\- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BERGO's products and services.

\- Represent BERGO professionally when engaging with assessors, industry stakeholders, and clients.

Essential Requirements:

\- Qualified Domestic BER Assessor registered with SEAI.

\- Strong understanding of DEAP and Irish BER methodologies.

\- Experience conducting residential BER assessments.

\- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

\- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

\- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

\- Comfortable using digital tools and technology.

\- Full clean driving licence

Desirable Skills

\- Experience using BER survey software and digital measurement tools.

\- Knowledge of building fabric, heating systems, ventilation systems, and renewable technologies.

\- Experience delivering technical training or mentoring.

\- Interest in software, innovation, and digital transformation.

\- Experience in quality assurance or technical auditing.
