Bar/Restaurant Manager

Overview
The Grove is seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands\-on Bar \& Restaurant Manager to lead our front\-of\-house operation and help deliver an outstanding experience for every guest.

As a well\-established venue at the heart of the local community, we pride ourselves on great food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a motivated hospitality professional who can inspire a team, drive standards, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day running of the bar and restaurant operations.


• Lead, motivate, and develop front of house staff.


• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high hospitality standards are maintained.


• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance.


• Monitor stock levels, ordering, and stock control procedures.


• Ensure compliance with licensing, health \& safety, and food hygiene regulations.


• Work closely with the kitchen and senior management team to maximise service quality and profitability.


• Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues efficiently.


• Drive sales through excellent service, team engagement, and operational efficiency.

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Hospitality Manager in a busy venue.


• Strong leadership and people\-management skills.


• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.


• Commercially aware with experience managing costs, stock, and labour budgets.


• Passionate about hospitality and delivering memorable customer experiences.


• Flexible, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast\-paced environment.


• Personal Licence holder preferred but not essential.
