Bar & Match Day Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar \& Match Day Manager to oversee day to day operations and match days. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage services, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, overseeing third party contractors, site inspections, venue hires and creating a welcoming atmosphere for members and visitors. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, growing the business and delivering an enjoyable experience for all.
Duties
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of bar and catering areas prior to match days or events
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the operations team to ensure efficient service
- Manage third party caterers and any internal food service ensuring presentation is in line with quality standards
- Hold a personal license qualification and be the named premises manager adhering to all licensing legislation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and operational hygiene standards at all times
- Serve beverages and food to customers in a professional manner
- Strong financial acumen, using data to drive results and overall revenue.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Manage operating hours accordingly to meet business needs.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Implement health and safety procedures across all operational areas
- Lead team meetings, provide training, and support staff development to foster a positive working environment
- Maintain cleanliness of all venue areas in accordance with organisational policies
- Proven supervisory experience within hospitality or catering environments, preferably within sports venues
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food service
- Experience in managing bar operations, including beverage service and stock control
- Previous experience working during match days or similar environments is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
