We are looking for a confident and motivated Bar Manager to lead the day\-to\-day running of our bar operation, ensuring every guest receives warm, professional, and memorable service.
Working closely with the senior management team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards across the bar, supporting and developing the team, and helping to create an inviting, well\-run environment for both hotel guests and local visitors.
The main responsibilities of the Bar Manager role will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the smooth daily operation of the bar, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the bar team to deliver friendly, professional, and attentive guest service
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the character and standards of The Pheasant Hotel
- Identifying and maximising selling opportunities to help drive revenue and exceed budget expectations
- Maintaining excellent product knowledge across wines, spirits, beers, cocktails, non\-alcoholic drinks, and seasonal offerings
- Supporting the development of drinks menus, promotions, and guest experiences in line with the hotel’s standards
- Ensuring the bar is fully stocked, well organised, and prepared for service at all times
- Managing stock control, ordering, wastage, and supplier communication where required
- Keeping up to date with, and complying fully with, liquor licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Supporting the wider food and beverage operation during busy periods, events, and weddings
- Assisting with the training and development of team members
- Identifying training needs within the bar team and helping individuals grow in confidence and capability
- Supporting a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration, shared success, and long\-term development across the hospitality team
