Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager in the day\-to\-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards and smooth front\-of\-house performance. This role is responsible for supervising and developing team members, maintaining operational standards, supporting labour cost control, assisting with stock management, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in the daily running of the restaurant.


• Lead, motivate, and supervise front\-of\-house team members to deliver excellent customer service.


• Ensure company standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed.


• Assist with staff scheduling and labour cost management to achieve budgeted targets.


• Support stock control processes, including ordering, stock counts, and minimising waste.


• Monitor service quality and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.


• Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance management.


• Ensure compliance with health \& safety, food safety, and licensing regulations.


• Support the achievement of sales, profitability, and operational KPI targets.


• Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager when required.

• Previous supervisory or management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.


• Strong leadership and team development skills.


• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.


• Good understanding of labour control, stock management, and restaurant operations.


• Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.


• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
