Bar and Duty Supervisor
*JOB DESCRIPTION*
As part of the Events team, the Bar \& Duty Supervisor will be the lead contact during events, ensuring a high standard of customer care and safe operation of all activities. The Supervisor will ensure the smooth running and delivery of events.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
Duty Supervision
· Deliver an excellent customer experience for all visitors to Newbridge Memo
· Deliver events as per event plans including bar, ticketing and front of house tasks
· Work with colleagues across departments to deliver events to the required standard
· Actively ensure all Newbridge Memo spaces are presented to a high standard
· Setup and reset spaces to a consistent standard
· Cash up daily takings and investigate any discrepancies
· Ensure Team are deployed and working effectively across the events
· Provide a clear briefing to the event team
· Ensure a full range of products is offered at the Bar and that these are attractively displayed, notifying the Events \& Operations Manager of any shortages
· Be knowledgeable about and promote Newbridge Memo’s programmes
· Collect audience feedback and monitoring data as required to aid reporting. Encourage visitor feedback by directing customers to the available feedback channels.
Health and Safety
· Be responsible for accurately conducting emergency and evacuation procedures when on duty.
· Be continually vigilant and uphold Newbridge Memo’s health, safety and security procedures to ensure the safety of cash, stock, assets, visitors and staff at all times.
· Take action to rectify or mitigate any health and safety concerns.
· Ensure compliance with the venue’s Premises License
· Ensure that activities operate within their agreed risk assessment.
· Ensure consistent and accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, and maintenance issues.
· Follow opening and closing procedures to open and lock up securely.
Other duties
· Attend team meetings as required.
· Undertake any other duties commensurate with the status of the role and in keeping with its overall purpose.

Essential
· Previous supervisory or events experience
· A calm, enthusiastic and friendly team player
· Ability to make quick, informed operational decisions and ability to prioritise.
· Excellent customer service skills
· Cash handling and cash recording/reporting experience
· Staff/volunteer management
Desirable
- Welsh Language Skills
· Food Safety training
· Personal License
· Fire Marshall Training
· Stock taking
· Experience and interest in theatre, community, and events
· Other related training/ qualifications
