We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Banker Mason to join our growing masonry team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced craftsperson who takes pride in producing high\-quality stonework and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and productivity.
As a Banker Mason, you will be responsible for cutting and shaping stone using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment. Working from templates and technical drawings, you will produce textured or polished finishes to exact specifications. You may also have the opportunity to undertake detailed carving work, including lettering, figures, and decorative patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, and shape stone materials with precision to achieve the required fit and finish.
- Work from templates, design plans, and technical drawings to produce quality masonry work.
- Apply a range of finishes, including textured and polished dressing techniques.
- Assist with carving, lettering, and pattern work where required.
- Maintain clean, organised work areas and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete projects on schedule and to a high standard.
Requirements
- Previous experience in stonemasonry is essential.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to undertake manual work.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.

- Staff canteen with refreshments and supplies available on site.
- All powered equipment supplied by the company, including hand\-held grinders, routers and air tools.
- Fully skilled masons will be expected to provide their own personal masonry hand tools
