Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Bank (0 hour contract) Care Assistants to join our friendly team. This role offers flexible hours to support our residents’ needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment. As a Bank Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of our residents through compassionate support and excellent communication.

Pay rate \- under 21 £11\.82 per hour, over 21 £12\.82 per hour with NVQ Level 3 £13\.61 per hour.

Shift pattern \- 8am\-2pm, 2pm\-8pm, 8am\-8pm, and 8pm\-8am.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.


• Support residents with their care plans, ensuring individual needs are met with dignity and respect.


• Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and families to promote a positive environment.


• Assist with meal service and encourage social interaction during mealtimes.


• Support residents’ emotional wellbeing through companionship and active listening.


• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.


• Good communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and colleagues.


• Basic IT skills for documentation and updating care records.


• Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing.
