At Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an exceptional Interventional \& Fluoroscopy Radiology Manager to lead our dedicated IRF team at Musgrove Park Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your advanced clinical expertise with operational leadership, helping deliver safe, effective and patient\-centred services across our Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy pathways.

Main duties, tasks \& skills required
-----------------------------------------

As the Interventional \& Fluoroscopy Radiology Manager, you will lead the provision of a high\-quality, efficient and cost\-effective service, managing colleagues, facilities and resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. You will work closely with Clinical Specialists, Radiologists and the wider senior management team to develop and enhance services in response to future healthcare demands.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the Interventional Radiology and Fluoroscopy team, including radiographers, assistant practitioners and learners.


• Supporting service delivery across Interventional Radiology, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Labs, Hybrid Theatre and Endoscopy.


• Managing demand and capacity, ensuring waiting times and vetting processes meet national and local standards.


• Driving service improvement, quality standards, audit activity and innovation.


• Leading recruitment, workforce planning, training and succession planning initiatives.


• Undertaking specialist interventional, fluoroscopy and cardiac procedures whilst maintaining the highest professional standards.


• Supporting the department's Quality Standard for Imaging Services (QSI) accreditation and governance programmes.

Qualifications

Essential

Degree or equivalent in diagnostic radiography

Evidence of qualifications, continuous professional development, appraisal and references

Experience

Essential

Demonstrable knowledge of specialist procedures

Exposure to adverse working conditions

Demonstrable experience in a wide range of radiographic skills

Experience of working in a busy x\-ray department, providing a full range of imaging

Desirable

5 years post qualification experience
