AWS Platform Architect | £550 - £650 p/day | 6 Months | Hybrid | London

Our client is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Architect to support the ongoing development of its cloud infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing and modernising the existing cloud landscapThe successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing and modernising the existing cloud landscape.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and develop cloud architecture strategy, standards, and best practices across AWS environments

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud platforms

  • Produce and maintain architectural artefacts including roadmaps, blueprints, and reference models

  • Work closely with engineering, security, and compliance teams to support cloud integration and platform evolution

  • Establish governance frameworks covering cloud security, compliance, and cost optimisation

Required experience:
  • Extensive experience architecting secure, highly available AWS cloud environments

  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, storage, and database technologies

  • Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures

  • Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins and Jira
