Avionics & Electrical Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics \& Electrical Engineer for our customer based in Bristol, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and testing complex electronic systems utilised in aerospace applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting\-edge projects that require a blend of electrical engineering expertise and mechanical understanding. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in System on Chip (SoC) design, signal processing, and firmware development. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and recent graduates seeking to develop their careers within the aerospace industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead avionics system architecture, integration \& certification strategy


• Define and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs)


• Drive system\-level integration (bench, ground \& flight testing)


• Lead avionics network architecture (ARINC\-429, AFDX, CAN, Ethernet)


• Support certification projects and subcontractor technical direction

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3–10 years’ experience

✔ Knowledge of UK CS\-23 \& DO\-160

✔ Strong experience in avionics/electrical system design \& certification

✔ Leadership, problem\-solving \& communication skills

✔ Experience with HIRF/Lightning/EMI compliance

CVE DOA Appointments in Lightning/HIRF, EMI, Software, etc.
