A leading independent Lloyd's broker is looking to appoint an experienced Energy broker to join its established Energy & Construction division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Energy broker looking to take the next step in their career, with the business open to considering candidates at different levels of experience. The role and remuneration will be tailored to the individual, with salaries available up to £135,000 for the most experienced candidates.
The Role

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of Energy business


• Work closely with senior producers and colleagues across the Energy & Construction division


• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, markets and key stakeholders


• Lead the broking and placement of Energy risks across the London Market


• Support new business development and identify opportunities to grow the existing book


• Provide technical and market expertise across Energy placements


• Negotiate effectively with underwriters to secure appropriate coverage and terms


• Work collaboratively with broking, claims and risk colleagues to deliver a high-quality client service


• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Energy team

About You

• Experience within the London Market Energy broking sector


• Strong understanding of Energy risks and the Lloyd's market


• Existing relationships with London Market insurers and underwriters


• Commercially minded with experience managing and developing client relationships


• Confident operating with clients and markets and taking ownership of a portfolio


• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills


• Ambition to develop your career within a growing specialist Energy team

The business is open to candidates with varying levels of Energy broking experience, so the package and seniority of the position will reflect the experience and profile of the successful individual. This could suit an established Senior Broker looking for their next step as well as a more experienced Associate Director-level broker.
