Associate Dentist/Locum Dentist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist or Locum Dentist to join our Private dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high\-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining excellent clinical standards. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, utilising advanced technology and techniques to deliver comprehensive dental treatments. The position is suitable for experienced practitioners seeking flexible locum work or a permanent associate role.

Duties

• Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments of patients’ oral health


• Diagnose dental conditions using clinical examination and medical imaging tools


• Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with patients


• Perform a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments


• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain strict hygiene standards


• Educate patients on oral health maintenance and preventive care


• Keep accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and professional standards


• Stay updated with the latest advancements in dentistry and incorporate new techniques into practice

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Dentist with registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or relevant regulatory body


• Proven experience in general dentistry; additional specialisation is a plus


• Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental practice


• Familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as X\-rays and digital scans


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively


• Organised, detail\-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
