Assistant Store Manager – Convenience Retail
Brixton, South London | Up to £35,000 basic + benefits
We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join a well-established international convenience retail brand in Brixton.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading a team and making sure the store is running properly day to day. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and play a key part in driving standards, sales and customer service.
The role
As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be involved in all aspects of running the store, including:
- Supporting and motivating the team on a daily basis
- Helping to drive sales and achieve store targets
- Maintaining excellent customer service and store standards
- Managing stock, deliveries and availability
- Supporting with rotas, training and team development
- Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
- Making sure company procedures around cash, security and compliance are followed
You’ll ideally have previous experience in convenience, grocery, supermarket or high-volume retail, with experience supervising or managing a team.
