JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Psychologist will play a key role in supporting the design, delivery, and reporting of our therapy services, with a specific focus on outcomes monitoring, data analysis, and service evaluation. You will work closely with Clinical Psychologists and the wider Therapy Team, combining data\-driven insight with a compassionate understanding of trauma\-informed care.

The role includes conducting assessments, analysing data using statistical software (e.g., SPSS), producing outcome reports, supporting service evaluation projects, and contributing to high\-quality reporting to internal and external stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to clinical and research\-related tasks across a number of innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities

Data \& Outcomes Monitoring

• Design, manage and update databases to track clinical outcomes, system feedback and service usage across contracts.


• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data using SPSS (or similar) to monitor trends, impact, and service effectiveness.


• Produce clear, engaging, and evidence\-informed impact reports to support internal reflection and external accountability.


• Support the development and integration of outcome measures across different settings (e.g., residential, education, family).

• Administer structured assessments and score/interpret psychometric data under supervision.


• Contribute to case formulation and intervention planning under the guidance of supervising clinicians.


• Support the delivery of short\-term interventions and structured therapeutic activities with children and young people.

• Conduct literature reviews and evidence summaries to inform clinical decision\-making and service improvement.


• Assist in service evaluation, audit cycles, and implementation of Meadows Care trauma\-informed model of care.


• Support clinicians in reflective practice sessions, training design, and quality assurance processes.

• Contribute to report writing, editing and formatting of clinical documents, presentations, and resource packs.


• Support the development of engaging visual materials and infographics using tools such as Canva or Power BI.


• Participate actively in team meetings, reflective spaces, and supervision.

• 2:1 or above in a Psychology degree (BPS accredited)


• Strong data management and analysis skills, including proficiency in SPSS (or equivalent)


• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable populations with complex needs


• Confidence in interpreting and communicating psychological concepts in written and verbal formats


• Organisational and time\-management skills, with the ability to work independently


• Understanding of trauma\-informed approaches and relational practice


• Curiosity, compassion, and a reflective, growth\-oriented mindset

This role is subject to a 6\-month probationary period. This will include structured feedback from supported services and commissioners, focused review of both clinical competence and relational skills, and clear expectations around responsiveness and autonomy.

Pay: £28,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
