Cotswold Trading is a destination gift and housewares store with two branches, one in the beautiful Cotswold village of Broadway and another in the market town of Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. We sell well\-designed, aspirational products with a distinctly British feel and a contemporary twist, throwing in some unusual finds from further afield to keep our ranges fresh and unique.
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a sales\-driven, hands\-on retailer to help us maximise the potential of our flagship Broadway store.
You will be extremely personable, energetic and enthusiastic and your areas of expertise will be in delivering brilliant customer service and maximising sales.
Working closely with our Directors and supporting our Store Manager, your customer service and staff development skills will play an important part in helping us to attain company goals.
You will be happiest welcoming and engaging with customers on the shop floor, using your charm and flair to present our wonderful products to our customers and taking our sales from good to great.
Passionate about our products and our brand, you will inspire, motivate and help develop our team to ensure that every customer is greeted, engaged with and enjoys the best possible service whilst visiting the store.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the shop floor for 2 days per week, and sometimes more to help cover management holidays.

Key Responsibilities
As ASSISTANT MANAGER you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of the manager's role as detailed below:
- Take ownership of the store and accountability for all of its operational functions.
- Deliver store sales, payroll, stock management and profitability targets and manage costs within budgets.
- Deliver excellent customer service both personally and through the development of your team.
- Organise a structured team training schedule to develop product knowledge, improve sales performance and promote company policy and procedure.
- Facilitate strong team results through effective management of individual performance and contribution.
- Deliver high standards of visual presentation.
- Manage your stock package to achieve the balance between high sales performance and great visual presentation.
- Provide detailed feedback regarding store and team performance to Directors.
- Deliver and organise an efficient back of house operation.
- Ensure a safe and healthy working environment with a high level of housekeeping both front and back of house.
- Effectively manage security and loss prevention.
- Act as a brand Ambassador for the company promoting our values and behaviours at all times and ensuring the same behaviours in your team.
- Engage with the local community and business community to promote the Cotswold Trading brand.

Requirements
- Educated to A\-level standard or above.
- 3\+ Years Retail experience at supervisory or management level
- Hold a valid Driving License
