Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will assist in supervising staff, managing customer relations, and maintaining high standards across all areas of the restaurant.
Duties
- Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive working environment.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to maintain quality standards during busy periods.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes while maintaining quality.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints efficiently to uphold high satisfaction levels.
- Support staff training programmes and promote team development initiatives.
- Maintain stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant environment in line with health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within hospitality settings.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Experience in food safety standards and food production processes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in service delivery.
- Previous experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Competence in supervising staff, managing customer relations, and handling operational challenges.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining professionalism.
