Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager

Overview
We’re looking for an exceptional, service led, Assistant Restaurant \& Beverage Manager to join us in our fantastic, casual, all day dining venue, Element Bar \& Kitchen at The Comet Hotel in Hatfield.

We offer a relaxed, welcoming and informal environment for our guests, serving fantastic, uncomplicated food, some great wines and drinks. We offer lounge areas with comfy sofas to relax in and plenty of Wi\-Fi and plug sockets, perfect for meetings or guests just for settling in with their laptop.

As one of our management team you’ll be ready to hit to hit the floor running and will already be well versed in creating fantastic memories for our customers, ensuring they’ll want to return. You’ll also be a great leader with strong communication and influencing skills, you’ll have an approachable manner and a “hands on” attitude, an eye for detail and the ability to drive consistent standards and exceed guest expectations. We are an independent operation with great owners. There are no head office obstructions and you’ll have the opportunity to help us shape the future of the operation.

Duties

· Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor ideally in a contemporary and/or branded high\-volume restaurant or busy hotel restaurant

· Great knowledge of coffees, wines and drinks.

· Hands on, sleeves up attitude. A supervisor who can lead and inspire both new and established team members

· The knowledge of how to handle big numbers without breaking a sweat, and strive to make those numbers even bigger

· The attitude to always behave with integrity and passion in everything you do

· Experience to know all there is to know about running a perfect shift, wowing guests, and working with and supporting your colleagues in order to achieve team success – it’s all about the team

This is a permanent and full\-time position working 40 hrs p/week, 5 days over 7 and will involve shift and weekend working.

• Experience


• Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment..


• Experience in managing team members effectively in a fast\-paced setting.


• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.


• Previous experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar establishments is highly desirable.


• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent organisational skills.


• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of service quality. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who are eager to develop their managerial skills within a lively dining environment.
