Assistant Quality Control Manager (Shadowing Role)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and eager\-to\-learn Assistant Quality Control Manager to work alongside and shadow our current Quality Control Manager within our egg packing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in food quality assurance, health \& safety, and factory management.

The successful candidate will gain hands\-on experience in food safety, quality systems, inspections, compliance, factory hygiene, and workplace health \& safety while supporting the day\-to\-day operations of the quality department.

Key Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist the Quality Control Manager with daily duties


• Support routine quality inspections and product checks


• Monitor hygiene, food safety, and health \& safety procedures throughout the factory


• Help maintain accurate quality, safety, and compliance records and documentation


• Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks


• Learn and follow HACCP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures


• Support the promotion of a safe working environment for all staff and visitors


• Work closely with production teams to maintain product standards and safe working practices


• Report any quality, food safety, or health \& safety concerns to management


• Assist with accident prevention, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives


• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory

• Interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, food safety, or health \& safety


• Good attention to detail and organisational skills


• Willingness to learn and take instruction


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Ability to work in a fast\-paced factory environment


• Basic computer and record\-keeping skills


• Awareness of workplace health \& safety practices is desirable
