Assistant Manager – The Wildcard Bar \& Grill

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our vibrant bar and grill team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast\-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, support staff development, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the bar and grill


• Supervise front\-of\-house and back\-of\-house staff, ensuring smooth service and teamwork


• Support recruitment, training, and development of team members


• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock control efficiently


• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health \& safety regulations


• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels


• Contribute to scheduling, payroll, and performance management processes


• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain quality standards and timely service


• Drive sales and profitability through excellent service and operational efficiency


• Uphold a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand’s values and enhances guest loyalty

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant, bar, or hospitality management


• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team


• Knowledge of food safety, licensing laws, and best practices in hospitality operations


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for both staff and guests


• Previous experience in a bar and grill or casual dining environment is highly desirable


• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences
