Assistant Manager/Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant or hotel staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas


• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met


• Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to existing staff


• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health \& safety policies


• Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures


• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and management


• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction


• Support the management team in implementing promotional activities and special events


• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment

Skills

• Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team


• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards


• Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or culinary roles is highly desirable


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure


• Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff and guests


• Familiarity with hospitality software systems is advantageous


• Previous experience in serving or barista roles adds value to understanding front\-of\-house operations


• Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
