Assistant Manager Fitness & Padel Club
The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in the professional day\-to\-day delivery and operational management of our padel club. This is a dynamic, multi\-tasking position with responsibility for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the facility, including court operations, the pro shop, and food and beverage services. The successful candidate will lead by example, fostering a welcoming community atmosphere while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
*Operational Leadership and Management*
The Assistant Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of daily operations, ensuring that the club functions in strict accordance with brand and operational standards. This includes:
- Team Coordination: Managing staffing levels, designing rotas based on peak player times, and leading recruitment and training for the front\-of\-house and court teams.
- Facility Oversight: Conducting regular audits to ensure the courts, equipment, and communal areas are maintained to a premium standard.
- Compliance: Maintaining critical infrastructure such as Health \& Safety standards, Fire Safety, and HACCP protocols to ensure a safe environment for all members and staff.
A core focus of this role is the development of a vibrant padel community. The Assistant Manager will:
- Customer Engagement: Actively engage with players, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for everyone from newcomers to seasoned professionals.
- Service Excellence: Personally monitor customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints or queries promptly and professionally.
- Programming Support: Collaborate with the GM and rest of the Team to coordinate court programming, tournaments, and corporate events.
The Assistant Manager supports the commercial success of the club through diligent financial management:
- Financial Reporting: Monitoring sales performance, managing wage costs against budgets, and assisting with stock control and loss prevention.
- Administrative Accuracy: Ensuring all office administration, cash management, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
- Business Development: Identifying opportunities to maximise sales in the pro shop and F\&B areas, while driving local partnerships to grow the club's profile.
